Opal Connector Tools Reference

Connector tools extend Opal by integrating third-party platforms into your workflows. Unlike system tools (built by Optimizely) and custom tools (built by your team), connector tools bridge Opal to external analytics, CRM, design, and automation platforms.

Administrators enable connector tools in Opal > Tools and configure authentication credentials for each integration.

Remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) connectors enable Opal to communicate with external AI agent platforms using standardized protocols.

  1. Navigate to Opal > Tools
  2. Find the connector in the tools list
  3. Click the connector to view its configuration
  4. Provide required authentication credentials (API keys, OAuth tokens, or service accounts)
  5. Toggle the connector to Active
  6. Enable Enabled in Chat if you want the tool available in Opal Chat

Reference connector tools in specialized agent prompt templates using backtick syntax: `tool_name`. The tool must be added to the agent’s tool configuration for the agent to access it.
