Achievements, XP, and Levels

Why progress is rewarded

Certification is a long game. You earn one credential at a time, and the gap between starting out and holding a meta-credential can feel large. The program closes that gap with lightweight rewards along the way — experience points (XP), achievement badges, and levels — so progress is visible and motivating even before you finish a full track.

These rewards are recognition, not requirements. They never gate exams or change what a certification means. They give you a way to see momentum, compare your journey over time, and find your standing on the leaderboard.

How XP works

You earn XP two ways:

• Passing certification exams. Each tier awards base XP: Foundation grants 100 XP, Core grants 250 XP, and Advanced grants 500 XP.
• Unlocking achievements. Every achievement carries its own XP reward, from 50 XP for small milestones up to 1000 XP for the rarest accomplishments.

Your total XP is the sum of both sources. As you accumulate XP you advance through levels.

Experience levels

There are ten levels. Each has an XP threshold you cross to reach it:

1. Newcomer — 0 XP
2. Explorer — 200 XP
3. Achiever — 500 XP
4. Specialist — 1,000 XP
5. Advocate — 2,000 XP
6. Trailblazer — 3,500 XP
7. Authority — 5,000 XP
8. Virtuoso — 7,500 XP
9. Visionary — 10,000 XP
10. Luminary — 15,000 XP

Your level appears next to your name on the leaderboard and in your profile.

Achievement categories

Achievements are grouped into five public categories:

• Credential — milestones for earning certifications and meta-credentials (for example, your first Foundation, your first Core, or unlocking Champion, Master, and Legend).
• Mastery — rewards for exam performance, such as scoring 100% or passing on your first attempt.
• Breadth — rewards for certifying across multiple product areas and roles.
• Momentum — rewards for consistency and timeliness, like earning several credentials in one quarter.
• Community — rewards tied to the leaderboard, such as breaking into the global top 100.

In addition to the public catalog, the program includes a small set of hidden achievements that unlock through unexpected accomplishments. Their details stay secret until you earn them — discovering them is part of the fun.

Your earned badges, current level, and the full achievement gallery live on the achievements page. The gallery also shows how rare each achievement is across the community.
