Schedule Content Publishing

⏱ 10 minutes beginner

Time-sensitive content needs to go live at the right moment. A product announcement should appear at launch time, not when an editor remembers to click Publish. Scheduled publishing lets you set an exact date and time. The CMS handles the rest automatically, even outside business hours.

  1. Open the page you want to schedule.
  2. Finalize all content and confirm the page is ready.
  3. Click the dropdown arrow next to the Publish button.
  4. Select Schedule Publish.
  5. Pick a date and time for the page to go live.
  6. Click Schedule.
  7. Verify the page status shows Scheduled with the date and time you selected.

Expiry removes content from the live site automatically. Use this for limited-time offers, seasonal promotions, or event pages.

  1. Open the page or block you want to expire.
  2. Open the Settings or Scheduling tab in the properties panel.
  3. Find the Stop Publish or Expiry Date field.
  4. Enter the date and time when the content should go offline.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Verify the expiry date appears in the properties panel.
  1. Open the Scheduled Items view from the toolbar or navigation menu.
  2. Review the list of pages and blocks with upcoming publish or expiry dates.
  3. Sort by date to see what goes live next.
  4. Verify your newly scheduled content appears in the list.
  1. Open the scheduled page from the content tree or the scheduled items list.
  2. Click the dropdown arrow next to the Publish button.
  3. Select Change Schedule or Reschedule.
  4. Pick a new date and time.
  5. Click Update.
  6. Verify the updated date appears in the page status and the scheduled items list.
  1. Open the scheduled page.
  2. Click the dropdown arrow next to the Publish button.
  3. Select Cancel Schedule.
  4. Confirm the cancellation.
  5. Verify the page status changes back to Draft or Ready to Publish.

You can schedule an entire project for coordinated launches.

  1. Create a project and add all related content items.
  2. Finalize every item in the project.
  3. Open the project and select Schedule Publish All.
  4. Pick the launch date and time.
  5. Click Schedule.
  6. Verify all items in the project show the same scheduled date.
